Re: Smoothest electronic drum loops?

It keeps amazing me how even the so called "smoothest" electronic drum loop libraries sound like a kung-fu movie slapfest. When I ran a search on "smoothest electronic beats" on the Net, the first match was some yoga music whose drum tracks still sound like a street fight. Energ...

Re: Drum Machines - Immediacy!

If Live's browser supported user definable tagging then people could mark those best samples with tags that describe them. Such as "bright hat" or "clean punchy kick". Then later filter files so that only matching files are shown. The more files you have the more this system woul...

Re: U-he appreciation

to Martin Gifford:
I'm also interested in their drum machine which may be released one day.
Even though I'm quite happy with many sounds I'm getting from currently available drum VSTs.

Could you list some features which could be most improved compared to what is available?

Maybe not "hands in the air" but a new source of some interesting sounds:

Re: Synth Originality

I just watched a TV program about the synth music of the 80s. One of the interviewed people said that bands tended to have same gear. TR808 for drums, Yamaha DX7 keyboard which came with 144 presets and all the bands used preset C7. I can understand avoiding presets at that time when there were so f...

Re: How do you rank sounds and projects in Live 9?

User definable tagging system would allow the use of stars and many many other useful things that would make searching sounds and other files much easier than now. Alchemy's system is one of the best implementations I've seen in VSTs.
