Use VSTs, not AU!

As Urs from U-he suggest here to you lot on Macs Ableton Live 10.0.2: Please use VST, not AU! with performance issues, heed this old but for some reason still current convention to prefer the use of VSTs in Ableton Live and not AUs. At least make sure you've tried VSTs only when you run into performance issues.

Personally, I delete or don't even install the AU versions, unless I got no other choice.

I don't really see the technical reason for these issues, but hopefully the people at Ableton do. I do believe one reason I commonly do not have massive performance issues when others do, is I've adhered to this convention for many years now.
