Hello
I have been using legit third party plugins that i have purchased on my MAC for years without a problem. I have recently upgraded to Monterey. I am still using an Intel mac.
when i try and open certain plugins i get the prompt that these plugins contain malware and thus cant open them.
I have been able to open the plugins as stand alone outside of Ableton, but I cant open them within the software.
What can i do???
thanks so much
Ben

AU or VST? Or both?
Did you check in another (non-Apple) DAW?

Well, if they're old plugins you've been using 'for years' they may not be updated for Monterey/Big Sur/Catalina/Mojave. Sounds like they don't have signatures or they've got the quarantine attribute turned on which happens when you install software that hasnt been signed off by Apple now.
Each piece of the app needs that removed. If you can open the standalone version and not the plugins inside the DAW, its probably only tagged the AU/VSTs with it and you just need to remove it.
