Right?

And the sound, as simple as it is has so much life to it.

Still sounds great through the youtube muck.

LoLs. That's ace! The guy has super-light touches! I wonder what the aftertouch response is like on that badboy...

my wifes band after she left the band got a glass/saw player, they were kinda a lofi indie band. but god damnit the wine glasses sounded incredible during songs. you got this guy with an accoustic guitar singing some haunting sounding song and the the glass floats in behind him. really cool in a live setting.

My sister got married a few years back, one of the gifts was a set of crystal glasses.
One of these days i'm going over there with my Mic and my lap top and sample them...
It really is a killer sound.
I tried sampling my self blowing over the top of a glass beer bottle, but the mic picked up a lot of breath, i was after that flute type sound. Maybe i should try again :?

Word. I've found this uber-annoying too. Especially people who say it to everything out of habit. Makes me wonder if it has to do with some sort of insecurity, like always wanting to appear as they know and agree with whatever the other person is talking about.

you probably know this but you tried putting the mic offset to the direction you were blowing right? get a directional mic and then you blow straight and the mic comes in from the side like an L

still will probably get some breath though, but breath could sound cool

I bet you could also run it through a wave editor program like audition and use the noise restortation to eliminate breath. I'm pretty certain that would help with really minimal loss.
