I'm gonna be trying something like this with my band at a show next week. We are going to walk around the audience and do live sampling/looping of drunken bar people. Fun! This guy is getting really complex sequences immediately though...I wonder how he is capturing video and then sequencing it so quickly. I'd guess he has premade sequences where he fills in the triggered sample on the fly?

I was thinking that. I guess he has to watch the girl with the camera so he can time the clip he's going to sample...I dunno.

Hey, post up your vids though when done, would love to see the drunken craziness! :D

We'll probably have a stationary camera there filming, but I forgot to mention that it will be audio only. I wish we had the equipment for live video sampling and projection...I need to get my AV project and my band project together sometime!

wow i have a single from him from '95 -- "donuts w/ budda" awesome that he is still pushing the envelope. even back then his sampling was ahead of the game in terms of sheer madness.
