My ears tire out real fast in Pbar. After 20 mins all I hear is hihat and kick.

have you been yesterday? (i don't think so... i would have seen you... unless you came during sunday... i left shortly after adam marshall, the music went straight away ugly after him... boom, boom, boom, thsiky tschiky... bore, bore, bore...

usually it is because the guys in those venues only play kick and hihat tracks (and least in the morning hours, yesterday)

so where should any musical sound coming from? in the first place? good soundsystem or not. it's those aweful boring DJs.

I thought about going to the Panoramabar but now I'm happy I didn't - I can't dance to that music, I can only bore my pants off.
What do you guys think about Schneiders Büro? Is it worth checking out? I have to leave my room by 10 in the morning, so I'd have to wait until they open at 2pm.
Is it worth waiting, and if yes, how much time should I plan for a little chitchat (I'm no analogfreak (yet), total noob, but I would love to and check those analog machines out)?

^^^ i don't know, i was never there... i have absolute zero interest in this place and old analog gear.
but a stroll through kreuzberg during the day and grabbing a coffee somewhere can't hurt at all.

and panorama bar was ace until after adam, but mike (well, i used to book him for our old club and we had always quality lineups, no boring stuff) and adam played together about 7 hours (after each other), so i had a good, but short evening.

Schneiders Büro's great, but it's not a place you can kinda browse and jam on anything you can get your hands on... better to go there with at least an idea of what you're interested in trying out and it can be set up for you...

Great Axel, you left your 8.1.1 frustration behind, thats good news.
Schneiders Büro...they don't sell old gear...it's actually new analogue stuff they're dealing with. The shop is in the ugliest house in the whole Berlin city, the entrance is smelling like shit and piss, but people working there are very nice and friendly.

Will you be using Live 8 or have you all moved on to Logic?

i use Live and Logic and Maschine, except maschine nothing really changed, well for important work stuff i did partly with live previous i moved all the way to Logic, because i can't still rely fully on Live for jobs, not at all... (sadly!)

for making music i however i by far prefer Live (always did) and maschine together now... for live playing---> in the future the path is clear Maschine all the way... it gives me all i miss in ableton (not the fancy features, the important basics!!!) for a performance... maybe i do a combo of it, though...

i just got an PM asking me wether the 2nd of june is for sure, from someone that wants to come from further away to the ALUGB meeting...

the 2nd is 100% definitive for sure!

so take the thursday off work in advance, cause we can have later on a real party rockin' if we want*... superb sound system as usually with me.

*but remember to not get mixed up here... this is in the first place about the community and diversity of music,
if a party later happens OK< but it is not the first aim...!!! it's about the people and music, getting just wasted for the sake of it and listening to the same minimal loop for 10 hours you guys can do plenty on the weekends in berlin!
