Hey folks!
I do have a problem with my new PC. I finally got myself two TFT Flats (sooo nice!), but got a 'lil problem with 'em. My graphic card does not seem to support both monitors, even though it has 2 connections. While the resolution on my 'main' TFT (1680x1050) is perfect, it seems to be impossible to set the other screen to the same resolution, although the res. 1680x1050 is shown in either the system's and the graphic card's control panel. What can I do????? I talked to ASUS today - but just got some stupid answers that don't work. My suggestion: Is it possible that a graphic card with two DVI-ports does not accept the connection of two VGA screens??? May that be the prob.? Or do I need a different GC?
Or any other other suggestions? Thank's in advance for your help!
System:
graphic card: ASUS EAH3650 TOP/HTDI (ATI Radeon HD3650)
Monitor: VW223D (22 Zoll)
board: P5Q SE (P45) w/ Core 2 Quad Q6600 and DIMM 4 GB DDR2-800 Kit
Greetz,
Nico
Hardware problem : graphic card - two 22" monitors
yah know i had a similar issue with my two 19"s... although my resolution was not as big as yours (thats what she said!). regardless, my monitors have both VGA and DVI ports so after a few tries with each port type and some settings i was able to get my 1280 x 1024(i think?). DVI seems to be more stable for what i was doing.
Hey bluesky
I am using twin Samsung SyncMaster 931BW 19” LCD's. I have an NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT graphics card and an Asus P5Q-Pro Mobo. I have one monitor connnected via DVI and one connected via VGA. Resolution for both match and they work fine, so far. Only problem has been with Live, which needed a bunch of fiddling around to settle down the GUI, audio drop outs and massive latency spikes as recorded by DPC Latency app.
I figure so far that the NVIDIA drivers are to blame for my woes with Live. Seems like you have a Radeon based card, so maybe you should try a different card if possible.
Cheers.

If you've got a radeon based card I'd give the ati catalyst control center a try rather than using the os native controls.
My laptops got a 1680x1050 panel and I have a 20" tft that has the same resolution, only way I could set it up was using the catalyst control center, the os panel would only give me something like 1280x1024 on the tft.
