Sorry, no. Ableton is very secretive as long as a product is not announced.

1/15/09 is the first day of NAMM - most companies announce new products then or at Summer NAMM. I am not saying this is true for Ableton, but just as a general statement.

I think they are skipping 8 and going to 9 so they will be synced back up with the calendar.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

isn't it obvious, Live 8 will not be announced until all the issues with Live 7 are fixed, and if you want a list of those they're on the bugfix list

I'm on the verge of forking out for the upgrade from 6 to 7 (roll on pay day).

Knowing my luck Live 8 will be announced the next day.
