Might not matter to some people, but i like to use an RSS reader for most of my stuff online and it helps when you can subscribe to specific topics..

I'd be in favour of that. I follow new postings at logicprohelp.com in that way and since I'm reading about 20 different feeds through Google Reader, it would be nice to see the ableton.com forums in there too.

i think it works well because you can then have a local archive of all your interests (mine is in osx mail) and that means locally searchable. Also i like to see if there are any replies of a thread i'm interested in.

Forum gurus? Whaddaya say?

Maybe the latest version of phpBB has this feature (this board hasn't been updated for 3 years it seems).

It would be nice. Just started using Google Reader and it would be nice and easy to have the Abes in there too.

vBulletin is good, but phpBB isn't bad either.

What is bad are forums that aren't really forums but read like old-school newsgroups (ie. the 'messageboards' you get on Yahoo groups where things aren't in a well displayed thread).

Is there any news on this ? There must be a way to get the forum on RSS in this day and age ! :D
