Drum Racks, Rex-Files & Live Clips

Post by loachm » Sun Dec 28, 2008 1:32 pm

...does anyone know, if there's a way to avoid that a Rex-File is saved once again when saving a Live Clip containing a drum rack with the slices of this Rex-File? All I want to have is this Live Clip of this drum rack referring to the original Rex-File. Instead Live creates a new project folder with the Clip and a "Samples" and "Imported" folder with a copy of that Rex-File. I guess, there is no way that this doesn't happen, but I thought, it might be worth asking...

Thanks!

...I guess, there's no other way to use Live Clips with Rex-Files without having to "import" them. Can anybody confirm this?

It's the same with Sampler and Kontakt's NKI-Files. If I remember correctly Live's Sampler is also importing all the samples from a Kontakt file while loading it...
