What would stop you from buying live 8

Discussion of music production, audio, equipment and any related topics, either with or without Ableton Live

Is there anything that would stop you from buying live 8?

Probably just the cost of having to upgrade two 7 suites and two regular versions of live 7 and an operator urgh!

We'll probably just do one of the suites to start with. At least with side-by-side installs I can still use L7 for something if 8 doesnt work.
Nothing to see here - move along!

I want something cool for live 8.

FeaTure RequeSts...

8) 8)

Bezier curves, crossfades, folder tracks, open sound control, brand new ideas of sequencing, elastik audio......

Basically, for Live 7, I didn't purchase the entire, "suite."

:) :)

I just bought the regular upgrade.

I'm getting to the point where all I really want is a powercore. I'm also almost ready to invest in Spectralis 2, but I have to see it first.

I don't think I am all that blown away by the upcoming NI drum toy. Suppose I'll have to go to guitar center and check it out.

Somebody mentioned, "battery 3," in an MPC box.... Yep, that is exactly what it is.

I'd rather see a Machine Drum, via, Virus TI....

I mean, a machine drum, with AU/VST...
too many lasers...

However, I will only buy Live 8 if it offers something pretty amazing as I'm well happy with 7 ATM.

Loving 7 so far. They'd have to add something pretty sweet to get me to upgrade. Something tells me this will happen.

Picking up the Live 8 box and looking at the new features list and not seeing crossfading of audio on the list. That alone would make me not buy live 8.

Only a lack of features that interest me.

And probably not even that, as I'm still on 6 and even Live 7 has got a couple of things I could use...

And I'd add (saveable) folder tracks to that; these two are a bare minimum for me. If neither of these are implemented, I might be upset enough not to upgrade!

If they still haven't added tablet support in 8 I will give up on Live and never upgrade again.

I usually look for a reason not to upgrade, but as soon as I see the new features, that philosophy goes right out the window.

Not buying Live 8 until all major bugs are squashed, which for 7 was about 6 months after release.

To answer the Q if Rig Kontrol went on sale for cheap I would skip 8 for a while.
