looper will probably be the most inspiring addition for me. I foresee some magic possibilities with that thing.

The Bob Geldof vocoder.

Seriously:
-Looper (tempo adjusts to first clip recorded especially)
-New effects (may be under-rated in the hype)
-Akai APC
-All the small enhacements that they introduce and are under-rated.

in no particular order
  • Looper - and inserting additional effects in its feedback path. yay.
  • Crossfades
  • File Sharing
  • Group tracks
  • the other new effects are very good (vocoder, overdrive, multiband, freq shifter. etc)
  • Max in Live is insane , of course
  • Groove extraction
  • the new method of visualising warping is frankly how it always should have been
  • transient mode, and its little friends, is f'n brilliant
  • the new Operator

Elastique Pro, multi-volume control during mixdowns, and real browser previewing are my favs.

Pretty much everything i've seen in the videos has restored my faith in this company and created wet sticky spots in my pants that are gonna be hard to wash out. Seriously I'm blown away, above and beyond my wildest dreams of what to expect from the new version. All my complaints have been taken care of and new features that I never thought of are also included. its ridiculous. I'm serious selling off my college tuition money just to be able to afford all of it, full suite, max/msp addon (hope theres a discount for those of us who already own max.msp), and the akai controller

no seriously, the share thingy in conjunction with max4live . it's like they sat down and thought.. the community behind this software is so unique and powerful . we just have to let them tools to play together. i tell you .. this is bottomless . its endless.. and it will bring live to center again after a while
