So what did the Abes totally forget to put in Live 8?

Awesome new features in Live 8! But what feature are you most suprised to see ommited or at least not mentioned yet?

For me it's a mix parameters snapshot recall.
IMO, being able to instantly recall the state of ALL automatable parameters would be the better part of the most effective solution for how to seamlessly get from one track to another in a live performance.

I'm also a bit disappointed to not see any mention of a streamlined rack/chain system that would hog up less system resources by giving the option of only referencing changed plugin parameters instead of duplicate loading of each plugin on each chain...

The forgot to include a way to do anything that Live doesn't already do.

Oh wait, no they didn't.

Well, they've included this sentence which kinda leaves it open for some minor stuff...
And many more workflow improvements: Yes, that feature request you sent may well be in there somewhere...
Not that it affects me at all, but I was expecting dual monitor support as it's asked for regularly on here.

:) , dual monitor support? guess that would have made it look like they move all traditional DAW to much. LOL.

and serious:

PITCH BEND MODULATION on the fly for clips that run in "sync" without crackles!
or did they?

Sure, I think of plenty that would have been nice, but they hit Max, Groove templates, Group tracks, Step sequencer, Crossfades and Elastic Pro warping. That's 6 of the most requested features. You can't argue with that.

Oh, OK. Customisable GUI set ups and more flexible ways of integrating session and arrangement.

But I'm not complaining.

Live 8, is only missing the MOST IMPORTANT THING. But we already knew it would be missing form Robert's recent post about the need for a major rewrite:

That comment is so personal feeling. I feel like I am getting a big nod and a  and my most needed features are going to magicly appear the second I lay down the cash for the upgrade

customizable racks and midi-configuration-saving, though that one could have gone unmentioned (hope so).

Edit: I guess max = customizable racks

the only thing i would like to see is: viewing more than 1 waveform/clip at once...

but besides that, i'm pretty psyched to get my hands on L8!

True. And I forgot the end of 128 parameter limit. That's a real biggy too.
