Watch out with those guys - I bought a Mac Pro four months ago from them, I ordered Airport Extreme as an option, but they separately sent me me a non-user-installable card (would have voided the warranty) and I had to get it installed by a technician at a cost of about a day of my time, not to mention motorway tolls.

I only received my Applecare agreement from them about two weeks ago and the keyboard this Monday... and it was the wrong keyboard! Again!

I'm not saying you'll get stung buying an APC off them but they repeatedly showed a stunning ineptitude in dealing with a basic order for me... YMMV!

Never had a problem with DV. Ever. Really helpful, and always get stuff to me in good time.

I don't, however, have £400 on that bad boy right now. Will chance it when it comes out - hopefully it'll hit around my birthday. Might just go for the L8 download first...

It could be that DV have just jumped the gun, and put this up on their site to get some attention and to head off the competition for initial pre-orders.

I would ASSUME that the price they are quoting is based on info from Ableton. But perhaps they've just taken the '399' figure being bandied around the net and thought "well, if it's £399 pounds thats the worse case scenario."

On today's exchange rates £399 = $600 or 450 euros (approx.)

It would be nice to get a confirmed official price from someone at Ableton...

+1 I got my Adam A7s from Digital Village, they were great with me.

As for the APC-40 I'll get it in the future at some point, when I've save up again because the Live 8 upgrade will wipe me out when its released!!

DV are normally pretty good with prices - if thats what they are quoting - thats probabbly what they have been told - so blame Akai/Numark etc UK or euro duistributors (Is that Arbiter?.)
