Live8 Added Control Surfaces and Open Sound Control?
Is Live 8 (and/or Max4Live) going to be OSC compatible?
I've got loads of OSC stuff and this was my No 1 wish from ableton's great new release.
Does anyone know how the APC40 interfaces with Live 8?
Surely Ableton must be catering for the Rapid growth of Jazzmutant/Monome/iphone/itouch users of late?
I hate using the Superb OSC protocol and then having to convert it to Midi before it reaches live.
Also, What control surfaces have been added?
Mackie HUI Support would be awesome, so i can use Automap Universal with live, without having to switch to Live Automap which assigns plugin parameters terribly.

now that's something i was really hoping for!
still, direct OSC implementation would be the cherry over the cake

R.
That's what I was thinking. But thanks for the clarification!
By the way, Robert, if you're still here. Will the API be as well documented as the rest of Live always has been?

well, for what i'm thinking that this will be,
it will be possible to design a perfect Live controller with clip names / colors, mixed with good sequencers, monome apps, all working thru OSC within a Lemur project.
add to that a Osculator and some wii controllers for gesture, and i'm set for good live improv
good days coming definitely

osc input to live's parameters?
hi robert
will it be possible to map input from osc to any of live parameters as well as things built in max ? ie the gain faders, live plug-in or warp parameters ?
will the osc input have to mapped to midi 7 bit range?
thanks
