Nice work Roland! Sweet new stand for laptop or APC40!

Post by Hidden Driveways » Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:51 pm

Roland is always at their best when they build something for one use, but it has another use altogether. This was designed as an accessory for someone using one of the Roland electronic drumkits with a laptop computer. The first thing I thought was 'Ahhh! There's the stand for my future APC40!'

But for $70... hmm. Nice concept, though.

Not bad considering similar options being 3x the price...

Would be nice if it held more than one piece of gear though... Just a little wider.

That's a nice find! On Stage Stands also makes a stand for mixers, mpc's, etc, that could work too. I use it on stage for my mpd 32.

It's pretty common, but it works. Peep it here.
peace,

perhaps not for drumpads, but stable enough for other controllers.

Oops. :) I haven't had my coffee today! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Fixed:
musicians and producers of all stripes could find a use

rahlo - yeah, the trouble with that one is it doesn't fit gear smaller than 14-1/2". Also the base seems a bit bulky for set-up and travel. But I guess for banging out beats on pads it would be better than this new Roland one.

kaffein - woah. i never saw that one before. expensive, yes, but you can see how you might be able to extend the lower shelf, and put the laptop down there with the APC40 on top. Hmmm....
