In Soviet Russia, chicks will pick you up with that thing.

Sorry, all this geekery is making me dizzy. How many millions of reverb plug-ins can you run with that again?

he he verily cool

there is something a teensy bit Legs Diamond/Al Capone about it

You could easily stroll in to a club in yer zoot suit, hat and Brian Ferry moustache, whack it on the table and rock da house in

although A violin case would definitely be better - anything like that on the cards?

Reminds me a little of the hardware from the "Max Headroom" adventures (before they got toned down for commercial network broadcast).

Now wouldn't that be fun?! I can see it now... swecurity guards with one hand on their gun and the other rubbing their chin.

Anyways... it was a joke of sorts. That is not my computer. It's a pic I saw on tomshardware.com a couple of years ago and I saved it to disk. I think it's a awesome portable alternative. Especially for playing shows with. !Sturdy! and as powerful as a desktop could be. Eventually I'd like to give it a shot at replicating something like that. I imagine the LCD display thing would be the trickiest part.

actually, a friend of mine has had something like that in the planning stages for quite awhile (with 2 kids time has not been available). he had all the specs done and priced it for under 2k, using a slim aluminum briefcase to house a 19" lcd monitor. i don't recall what mobo and stuff he was going to use, but i was certainly curious to see if he'd do it.
