Should I buy NI's Massive?

I realize I'm a bit behind the curve here and Massive is probably totally old and way uncool to a lot of users here.

so, is there something better you can recommend for making twisted, grindy, LFO drenched basslines? i'm lookin' to do just that, make basslines and leads and junk.

also, i'm cheap.

it gets rid of all glitchiness to actually buy it.

i think NI made the crack themselves or something...

every time one of my students is using a crack it acts all crazy, but my paid copy works like a dream :D

you get two unlocks too, so you can share the price with a friend.

I've found that Massive is working a lot better since I upgraded to 8GB of ram from 2GB in my Mac Pro. It's really smooth, more like a hardware synth. The 8 macros in Massive are perfect for the Axiom's 25 8 knobs. Of course you can map any of Massive's controllers.

Helix might be a great challenger, too, and might use way less cpu.

YES YOU SHOULD.

I just did it, AND I DON'T MISS MY VIRUS Ti AT ALL !!!

(99$ at audiomidi.com) (or try buying the serial 2nd hand, that will allow you to register the demo you downloaded at NI)

great basses, great modulation matrix

GREAT GUI AND EASY WORKFLOW

if you lack some extra grittyness, just use a saturator on the track. (or use free mac os X plug "Automat")

Massive is just... Massive. (also for your CPU ;) )

point.

massive = my favourite synth plugin. amazing presets + easy to tweek and to make it your own sound.

edit: not on my powerbook though. it kills the cpu.
