Beatport update

For those who haven't yet seen it: Beatport did an update today... what do you think?
(Not about Beatport generally, we already had plenty of discussions about BP here, but about the update)

It's not really revolutionary, but just add's up-to-date functionality with features that has been in demand.
Playlist OK, but other then that it's business as usual more or less.

My first impressions:
the header is bigger, need more scrolling now -> bad
overall look is much better
scrolling in a track feels much faster now. however still no waveform -> bad
playlist -> great!

They also now introduce a very interesting "Font Art"

would have been nice to have a needle drop system ala DJ Downloads.
Otherwise, looks nice, as Tom said, not revolutionary but a welcome update.

I think Beatport will only do digital? Richie Hawtin said that vinyl is a pain in the ass and that you cant make any money anymore.

Do you have a link to the article where he said that? I don't disagree, but I'd sure like to read his thoughts...

I can't get past the start up screen even though it shows 100%
I've tried Beatsource and it says they are updating the site.
Anyone got in from the UK?

Try clearing you web browsers temp files first. Depending on which you use there are different workaraunds for it. Just clear files, restart and see if that changes anything.

Try clearing you web browsers temp files first. Depending on which you use there are different workaraunds for it. Just clear files, restart and see if that changes anything.
