i have a pair of dynaudio bm5a as near fields and a pair of krk series 2 v8
further out as mid fields. was contemplating selling all to get a pair of genelecs,
then decided having two options is better than one.

currently using a pair of Alesis Monitor 1 Mk2 (the active ones) - they're OK, but I'd much prefer a pair of the new desktop Genelecs. Yum.

I have a pair of Events and I'm very happy with their clarity and transparity. I know Events are more popular in USA than Europe.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Focals. If I had the budget, I'd definitely check them out. Otherwise, probably Adams.

Been using Event TR5s for a few years now. Always been very pleased with how they've sounded, but now they're out of warranty, one has developed repeated clicking, the other has a higher noise floor. i.e. the amps are slowly dying. They' cost £125 each to repair, and are therefore not worth bothering with.

When I can afford to, I'm heading for a pair of Adam A7s. I hope I shall never have to change them.
