Ableton VST?

Post by rustyman1 » Sat Jan 31, 2009 12:34 am

I have ableton live 7.0.3 on a pc 2.4ghz 1.5mb ram and have a bunch of free vst's I downloaded just can't get ableton to recognize them like I see them in the vst folder I made and turned vst on in folder options also scanned

but when I go to my vst file through ableton I see the synth1 vst folder but there is nothing in it?

has anybody had this problem if so please help.
thanx in advance

What plat form are you on, OS X or XP/Vista?

Also, what do you mean by "Free"?

one of the main benefits of buying Live, besides supporting development, is getting help with this kind of thing

This is a common problem. I think that there is a special way to get VSTi working on torrented version of Live. There's a key combination for each machine that runs a version of this kind. All you do is mail this guy, and he will tell you what to do. His mail is support@ableton.com

Tell him you have just arrived in the Failboat and your name is Captain Fail, that's the password. Then tell him how you thought you'd pop by the official Ableton forums to chat about your torrent and also leave your IP address in their system so they can have a good old laugh at your incredible stupidity.

tell them that, and then they will send you the magic file that makes it work.

if you have a torrented copy of ableton, eventually, it will fail.

Wow another THIEF is exposed.....Do you like to STEAL, What goes around comes around and i bet you dont get a single track done on your dodgy copies of Ableton, because your too busy poking your dog.

If you want the programme to work correctly i suggest buying the thing.

Do us all a favour and FUCK off.
