The Sweet Setup

Post by patrickkidd » Sat Feb 07, 2009 9:17 pm

I've found my musical nirvana. Good process, good equipment, good attitude.

I really need to work out something like that. I had my first gig yesterday and this is what I brought:

laptop
emx-1
modified usb computer keyboard for triggering
roland vs-880 for mixing/some fx
padkontrol for other fx
m-audio keyrig 49, for the 2 times in my liveset where I play keys

So yeah, I really need to simplify. I want to drop the keyboard, the emx, and maybe even the pads, and replace the VS-880 with a dedicated midi mixing controller like the UC-33e.

my blog
you can read all about how I'm fixing the toilet, changing light bulbs and downloading the latest beta software. well, I'm not actually doing any of that, I'm writing a thousand word essay on how I'm supposed to be doing that right now.

Well, since you were kind enough to ask, I'd like for you to remove your hidden rick roll.

Not everyone is suspicious enough to inspect the link before they click, and not everyone is running noscript.

Someone could get hurt here.
