if you can find one! it doesn't quite work like that, they're called sound cards. ;)

I've heard good things about Receptors and you can put a lot of third party plugs on them......then I see the price and stop caring.

I still wish a company would create a small and inexpensive box with some hardware controls on it where you could fit maybe 2 or 3 plugs of your choice on it at a time. Load it up for a gig (or whatever) and off you go. Buy several if you need to.

There was a box in development that had some very limited capabilities (a pretty bad processor, a single mini-plug out, or something like that) but it would do just what beats is asking for. I don't remember the name of the company, though. So I'm kind of useless. I think it was on Create Digital Music but I searched DSP and went way back and it didn't come up.
