I agree 100%. I thought it was a masterpiece. I wanted to get back in line right after I saw it and see it again.

Based on Neil Gaiman's book? I had no idea they were making a film out of it.

I know little to nothing about this. There's an advertisement for this on the PATH train now and to me it looked like a movie for 12 year old girls with goth-leaning tendencies. But based on your reviews I'll check it out.

Made by Henry Sellick, who did "Nightmare Before Christmas". It really is an incredible cinematic achievement. Depending on how good Pixar's "Up" is this year, it could even end up stealing away the Oscar for best animated film. Be sure to see it in Digital 3D though if you can. BTW, 3D has come a looong way from those cardboard red and blue glasses.

for real, the 3d is fucking LEGIT. this movie is off the hook. SEE IT IN 3D! TRUST ME! I mean, its a great movie by itself, but you want the HOLY FUCK factor to go with it.

Funny... just watched this a couple days ago. Definitely a great movie!

There's only one thing that's been bothering me... When this movie was first being advertised, I thought I remembered hearing Tim Burton's name as someone involved, but I don't think he was. Anyone know for sure?

While on the Tim Burton subject... anyone in NY, be sure to check the MOMA out in November. They're doing a Tim Burton exhibit.
