Really dug Benjamin Button. Quite an interesting take on F Scott Fitzgerald's short story. The effects were pretty cool and the over all message actually made me think about living in the moment more.

^ Nothing "short" about that story...I thought it was technically great, but as a story, the worst of the bunch.

Just saw the reader, and loved watching Winslet get boned for like half the movie.

Having seen all 5, I think the best of the 5 is Either Slumdog or Frost/Nixon. But I still think Dark Knights bests them all.

Slumdog was good. Best film though...? I'd have to go with Batman, but I haven't seen any of the other ones yet.

Dark Knight was crap, bring back the spandex and kappows.

I found Benjamin Button boring but I think that was just due to me not being in the mood for it at the time. I can see it winning as it has classic written all over it.

Slumdog I'm not sure about, I enjoyed it (more than Benjamin Button) but I'm not sure about its merits for best picture - its good but not that good. But there again maybe it is.

where's The Wrestler?

Slumdog was disappointing, it was the same story over and over and it was totally predictable.

Dark Knight was great, dunno if it's picture of the year.

Milk was very good, Sean Penn is amazing.

Frost/Nixon... who the hell is Nixon? why are people still making movies about that guy?

^ The Wrestler was not nominated for best picture.

Frost/Nixon was about Frost, and about a battle of words and minds.

Wrestler Best Picture, Slumdog gets cheesiest way to ruin a great story about growing up poor in India, Dark Knight gets best supporting for Ledger.

In a just world.
