No, I won't until after I'm certain it's as stable as 7 at least. Since I use it live, with a guitar and playing soft synths with sequences etc. I cannot aford to. If I was just in the studio ATM I would definitely. Live has pretty decent crash recovery, and a lot of 8's best features to me are studio oriented.

i used 8 at a gig last weekend, and plan to for one on friday.

all new projects have been done in 8. Got bit pretty hard at last weeks gig because Latin Percussion made Live very slow in loading times. A full minute load time on stage feels pretty long :) That'll be nice when they fix that.

Other than that, the beta's rocking. but i haven't had any HUGE projects to work on w/it.

i feel it's still too early to start serious projets with the beta. it's been problematic for me -- lots of crashing, weird bugs, etc, pretty much what you'd expect from a beta I guess. i tried 1-2 projects with it but just wasted too much time restarting, reloading, sending crash reports. so i'm working on my "real" songs with 7, and opening 8 to do sketches, play around with the new stuff, see what works, what doesn't, etc....to beta test, in other words ;).

I only had one small crash but other than that 8 is pretty great. It IS slow as fuck to switch projects.

I'm gonna hate when beta testing ends and I have to wait to actually buy it....my money is waiting right here though!!!

Apart from one weird crash yesterday its been really solid.
I never lost anything after the crash yesterday neither so no complaints

i use the 8beta for testing and checking only. Sure, the ideas which evolve
are getting safed. But for working on tunes i only use 7 for stability reasons.

There are certain things I can't do at the moment - using KorePlayer always crashes the beta - but unless I'm using that instrument I'm pretty much on the beta every day, both sketching and more involved work.

I'm already hooked and started some projects in 8, so I'll have to buy it when it comes out. I would have done it anyway.

i've got the same brutal bug as rave and mholloway...beta 12 was worthy, but 13 and 14 have a terrible bug that eats clip warp settings and poops em out the other end. gross.
nothing mission critical is being done in 8 until this is fixed.

I open 8 more than 7 now. But I don't time at the moment for serious projects. I use it more for jamming and playing keyboard. I wouldn't trust it yet for Live shows and I also wouldn't trust it yet for important studio projects. You never know if something might get corrupted or changed during the beta phase. That said, as the beta's progress I tend to take my chances more and more, even though I know that's not smart.

Mostly L8. As always, some betas are better than others - I have knocked the L8 beta over plenty of times now, but still less so than I knocked over Live 7 at this stage. Oddly enough, the worst beta for me in Live 7 was b21, the last one prior to launch, which was brutal for me, and then they released Live 7.0.1 !! I kept Live 6 on my machine until 7.0.10, at that point I was confident enough to get back some much needed HDD space. Although to be fair, Live 7 was fine for me from 7.0.2 onwards ....

I already released 4 LP's and 11 EP's that I wrote with the beta.
