Midi out?

can you control an external synth / pc softsynth via Live 4 without Rewire? I want to record midi on my mac and then have it play my Gigastudio machine for playback. Can't seem to get it to work, there is a midi "in" on the midi track but not midi "out"?

If i have rewire capable ap like reason booted in the background then i can get to reason via Rewire.

How do i send midi out of live to a non rewire source?

make sure in Live Preferences you have specified a MIDI out port. Then the you should be able to specify a MIDI out port from the session view.
