I thought about bringing it with me this morning but was torn between gym after work or sampling some found sounds at lunch. I only have room in my bag for gym gear or MPC, not both. That might have been a work out in itself had I mangaged to bring both.
Right in the mood to do that sampling sort of thing now!
I suppose I'll feel better later whilst fending off the midlife lardyness!
That is all.

I, too, wish I had my MPC with me. I'm right in the mood for chopping up some sounds... I still need to sample the photocopiers at work.

Field recorders? A lot smaller than a MPC.

Cool. Wanna buy one for me?
Thought not.

Oh and you can't sequence on a field recorder.

That's kind of what I had in mind. Record the lifts that kind of thing.

Damn right. There is a certain kind of rhythmic satisfaction that can only be brought about by listening to a photocopier.
God bless the battery-powered sampler!

I love field recording. on sunday I took a load of stuff to the rubbish dump and they had a big crane grappling hook machine chomping through garbage. Naturally I whipped out my tascam recorder and got a couple of minutes recording of the action. Got a few funny looks though, but sod em

It's definitely worth the strange looks. There is something really satisfying about making something musical from fields recordings.
@logic_user99 - Rhthmic photocopiers - Ever tried putting a contact mic onto a photocopier? (or anything else for that matter)

I haven't, actually. That's an interesting prospect; know of any cheap contact mics?
