Pedal board type interface for looping with Live?
Pedal board type interface for looping with Live?
I know theres the FCB1010 but I'm afraid of dealing with the midi translator stuff. Is there any foot pedal that integrates with live better and has better mapping? Need to get one soon getting tired of stepping on the trigger finger. Damn recession...

Have you thought about butchering a cheap qwerty keyboard somehow, and steppin on that? Heck, use two, 1 on caps lock.....lotsa options.

You don't need a midi translator to loop in live with the FCB.

The X-Tempo POK looks very interesting (although way more expensive than FCB1010 at around $450). This is not a MIDI controller, but instead it captures keystrokes directly from your computer. You can assign the keystroke to any foot pedal trigger and then use that to control Ableton. It looks dead simple to use. Also it's wireless. There are some good videos on the company's website that show all the capabilities.

So I can assign the foot switches and pedals just using midi learn? If thats the case I'm getting it tomorrow!!! This will really make my set complete and when Live 8 comes out with the looping function it will be flawless!!! By the way I've been out of the "loop" when does live 8 Come out?
