Ableton Live CPU Meter 33-34%
i'm sorry to tell you that, but there's something wrong with your test, because it's simply not possible to get 33% with a core duo 2,4@ 96khz!!Even with 6gb of ram and a SSD....
You should get at best something between 48%/52% @44,1 khz at 512 buffer.
15" Macbook Pro 2,3 quadcore I7 2012/8gb ram/240gb SSD/ LIVE 9.06/OSX 10.8.5, NI Komplete audio 6

1) Ableton Live CPU Meter - 51%
2) Laptop/Desktop? Make/Model? Custom desktop
3) Operating System? Windows XP SP2
4) Ableton Live version? 8.2
5) CPU Make, Model, and Speed? Intel Core2Duo E6400 2.13GHz (no overclock)

Not bad considering that this PC is over four years old now. I sense a quad-core on the horizon however.

Thats makes no sense for that hardware and OS - what aint you telling us? (I assuming that is a normal (4 core / 8 ht core i7, and memory speed would be 1333?).
It would make sense if you memory speed was 1600+ DDR3 and tri-channel and CPU clock at about 4.2Ghz. A 2.93Ghz i7 with dual channel memory at 1066 or 1333 should be closer to 20%-22%.

Are you sure you didnt read this at the 4 tracks playing point? 10% would sound about right for that :)

If this is real, then your machine needs to be conficated and disected to determine how the hell you got this result!
Nothing to see here - move along!

I've got a 27" iMac with i5 2.8GHz, same amount of RAM. I'm getting 19% so no wonder i7 with hyperthreading gets 10%.
I'm also using a Duet.

Tarekith and guys, could we perhaps collect the data so far, and create a graphic presentation?
Is possible to use the Arrangement view to grapically show each cpus speed, etc.

The latest, but on second thought I don't think it's because of this version.
When I installed it, the cpu load raised to 40! After that, I changed some settings in the bios of my gigabyte mobo. I believe some power management settings..After that the load dropped to 23.

After that I checked the bios what setting caused this drop in cpu load but I cannot reproduce it anymore by disabling/enabling the settings...
Now I'm not sure if it's because of these settings I changed or if the update just required a reboot.

Anyway....Thanks
