I fully intend to upgrade my suite, but after being bitten by some instabilities when 7 was released I am going to wait for a couple of patch releases first as I have some sound design deadlines over the coming months that I dont want to compromise my set up. But I cant wait to make the plunge :-)

Probs do it around august time it thinks.

Suite upgrade from L7 Suite... simply because I couldn't resist the urge of natural progression.

I will be purchasing the upgrade to v8 Suite, but only as soon as I have my 3-track EP finished. I'm one-and-a-half tracks in, and have put a self-imposed ban on any kind of new purchases until I finish the project with the tools I've got!

Wise, I thought. Once it's done, I can upgrade and look at bringing a live band together to perform (LOOPER, BABY!).

I'm sure that the 'beta' phase is an evil plan by Abes to get you addicted so you have do the full upgrade.

Haha
For sure. I've said this before. Ableton would clean up if they got their 'dealers' to flog a different 'product' ;)

It's genious! I'm a long time Digital Performer user and this is such a relief coming from a company that pretty much works in secret. It makes me feel like I matter as a customer.

went for the Suite(DL) as well

upgraded Suite 7 to Suite 8 box... had to have more stickers... and if i'm not mistaken, there is more content on the DVDs that wasn't available from the download, aside from EIC2??? anyway, great product, no hitches in the installation here, as was the case with other users. the only thing that confused me was loading up a Live 7 set of about 40 mp3s that had to be re-analyzed by the new engine. i only had to fix a couple of songs after it was done. way better than previous versions!!! give yourselves a pat on the back Abes. now, get back to work on the rest of our feature requests.

 subtract one from suite box, and add one to suite box upgrade...

wanted a printed manual, and stickers, plus i like the pretty sliver and black box... i should have at least one live box on the shelf. plus, i wanted to check out session drums. and collision is pretty nifty.

Upgraded to Suite Boxed, which for me meant gaining Collision and Latin Percussion. I went for the Suite because I figured I would end up getting Collision eventually anyway.

Btw, I teach undergraduate music classes as well as study music at the graduate level and didn't even flinch about the lack of academic pricing for the upgrade, I just started saving as soon as Live 8 was announced. M4L is the real prize for me, with Live 8 just being a necessary step to getting it.

Have Live 7 Suite but only upgraded to Live 8 download. Collision/Corpus and Latin Percussion didn't do anything for me. Things like slice-to-transient, updated operator and the vocoder were much more enticing. Now, if the Suite had included a nifty step sequencer that didn't require M4L...
