What zoom level have you settled with?
What zoom level have you settled with?
I'm using a 20" iMac in studio and around 118% is just lovely.
Just the little bit of extra zoom is a huge eye-saver, especially when working with the browser.

Re: What zoom level have you settled with?
I can't use anything other than 100% because I need that crisp look.
Re: What zoom level have you settled with?
Nikos T as far as I know, Ableton use a combination of vector graphics, post-script fonts, and bitmaps of varying size, in other words, it is "crisp" at all levels because no pixels are actually magnified.
Or to put it differently, zooming in Live is completely different from changing the resolution of your screen, or quick-zooming (CTRL+scrollwheel) on a mac.
When you change font size in this forum, it isn't magnified, but recalculated - Live does something similar.
When I first zoomed in, I was sure there was some blurring going on, but I now have a feeling it may be an optical illusion because one is so used to looking at Live at 100%, that your eyes need to readjust over time.

Ditto but on a 17" lappy. I did notice a bug at 120% where the I/O drop-down chooser wouldn't display no matter how I manipulated the GUI. I use output 7/8 on my Indigo for Live and new sets always default to 1/2.IP wrote:110% on a samsung 22" @ 1680x1050

I can't wait to see it on my 32" plasma. This zoom feature is prolly the most useful thing in the whole package.

Re: What zoom level have you settled with?
I'm trying out the Demo now at 115% and would mostly agree. I've loved using Live, but have to admit that I only use it as a DAW. $250 is seeming kinda steep for this kind of zoom.Anubis wrote:...I can't wait to see it on my 32" plasma. Re: What zoom level have you settled with?
I'm loving the extra space at 88% on my 13.5 inch macbook.... must be one of the more squinty ones around here
Re: What zoom level have you settled with?
70% on a 24" iMac

Re: What zoom level have you settled with?
I've settled on 125 percent on a 23" ACD. Much easier on the eyes. I've been utilizing command option I, B and shift F12 to hide and show inputs, browser and clip detail which is better than showing them all the time at 100 percent.
