Why do you need to choose a language to download live?
Why do you need to choose a language to download live?
Seriously, what gives?
The installer is properly localized. The program itself is localized. Why on earth does one need to select a language for downloading Live itself? Shouldn't one only need to choose the OS?

Good God. This seriously upsets you?
You do realize that some people migrate and may not speak the main language of the region or speak multiple languages and may prefer one over the other.
They need to shut this forum down for a week so people can ponder real issues.

One reason: The japanese font / language file is quite big. If you choose any other language you'll not get that additional stuff. Reduces our traffic and your HD space consumption / download time.

In situations like this (applications, OS, phones, other electronics...), I always use English instead of my native language.beats me wrote:or speak multiple languages and may prefer one over the other

The included manual is another strong reason.

Thanks for the explanation. Sorry if my original post sounded a bit snarky; it's just that I had to download the live demo today, and thought I'd finally pose the question which runs across my mind every time I had to do so.Robert Henke wrote:One reason: The japanese font / language file is quite big.
