I tunes mp4 protected files
I'm really disoppointed as the music I brought on itunes I can't use on live, audacity can't change the itunes downloads either, anyone know how you can get around this? itunes is good for downloading different genres to sample, I thought I was doing a good thing by buying the music but may have to go somewhere else now just to get the songs.

Or just use the free program Audio HiJack or the million other programs like it to grab the audio from iTunes.
Most of iTunes music will be going DRM free soon, they have been advocating for DRM free music forever.
Or...if you need an excuse to feel okay about stealing, I guess you have yours.

Re: I tunes mp4 protected files
It's a bummer, but the only true way I've found around it is to burn a wav CD of the playlist and then rip it back to itunes as mp3s. The non-bummer about it is that you have a hard backup of the disc should your HD ever fail. The trick is to go through that process at the highest quality you possibly can at all stages, but it is a process that definitely works.

I just burn a CD and then import the CD into Soundforge for editing
