Forum font sometimes unusually big

Post by leinad » Fri May 01, 2009 10:46 am

Sometimes it appears that the css or whatever defines the font size on this forum does not get applied correctly.

It happens at random.

I fixed your post.

More seriously, it happens to me on almost every website, when my connection gets a bit laggy.

I'm on a clean 20mbit connection - forum.ableton.com is the only domain where this happens. It may not look dramatic on the screenshots if it seems to be worth joking about it, but it really is annoying, specially when reading the post's content.

Also, when font is wrongly sized, the images do not load.
Screenshots below illustrate the overall issue a bit better.

A quick guess... safari and a fritzbox / telekom router? This combination is known to cause incomplete site loading.

Using Firefox 3.0.10 and yes I have a FritzBox which works like a charm, but this is happening since the forum was changed a couple of weeks ago (they took it offline to change something).

found something related:
Firefox Font Issue (shows a to big font-size)

This happens to me ONLY on my PC and ONLY with Firefox. I agree with the timing. I have a Netgear router.

Perhaps FF has also some problems to load the css files. Maybe a timeout or bugs in the css engine...?!?
