maybe try the VST version of the plug ins? I'm on PC so I can't use AU, I think I've read that AU doesn't work as well as VST.

maybe send your set (without the midi data) to support@ableton.com with a good description like that, they might help. maybe you've found a bug! (thanks if you did!)

what AUs are you using? just curious.
there is no difference between AU and VST in Live (verified)
I mostly use Kontakt 3, Independence Pro, MOTU MSI (all with huge libraries) and a lot of synths

what is also very strange:
- 256 samples of latency of my audio setup in Live 8 is absolutely not the same (the feeling when I play virtual instruments via my keyboard at the begining of the new project) as in Logic. Live 8 seems to by more delayed even at the start.
- if I insert one instance of plugin with very small internal latency (4 samples) the final latency (the feeling when I play virtual instruments via my keyboard) is noticable higher comparable to latency (the feeling when I play virtual instruments via my keyboard) in Logic but with 30 instances of the same plugin

absolutely not true. start a thread on this and prove me wrong.

the rest is up to the user and how they set up each DAW.

use Logic if it works for you. your conclusions about Live are ill-founded.

for me there is no difference between AU and VST (I did not notice anything after short testing so I use AU)
if there is any disadvantage of AU in Live, why there is no official information about? AU and VST are two equivalent formats...
and about my ill-founded conclusions.... no comment for that stupid argument (oh sorry it is no argument it is truth because of you)
