Reminds of this one time I came home stoned out of my face and I stepped in through my front door and turned on the hall light. The door to the lounge was glazed and was standing open at a 45 degree angle meaning i could see the reflection from what was behind the lounge wall. And there was this shit scared looking black guy standing there.

I froze, thinking shit what do i do now, I've seen him but he doesnt know or he would have moved already. So I thought fuck, better get out so I moved to get back outside and he moved at the same time.

Then and only then did i realise it was just a trick of the light nd actually a double reflection of my own blac leather jacket clad arm in the door.

Fuck me I fell about...scared fuckless though.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. That reason is that over (at minimum) 50% of the people it targets falls under these stereotypes in one way or another. Its a rare case that a stereotype just popped up out of thin air with no overall cultural pattern to back it up.
