Padkontrol for sale- $8000?????

Holy crap, I emailed the guy asking if he really meant to sell for $8K and he responded
"Yeah, it's not a mistake. If someone's good enough they can easily make a profit selling the beats they make off this baby."

The funny thing about that is the "Other Things You May Like" section at the bottom of his listing which shows 3 different padKontrol listing all for under $150. What a moron.

Next thing you know he'll be telling people how great the sound quality is on his MIDI controller.

I e-mailed him as well asking if he was just trying to take advantage of someone by selling it for $8400 more than it's worth.

His reply... "Have you heard of Kanye West? His beats sell for well over $8400.

Is there anyway of finding out who he is? I hope he gets his ass handed to him. Isn't what he's doing against ebay's rules at all. Or do they also allow people to get taken advantage of if those people are stupid enough?

The way I see it, eBay allows you as the seller to set your price. They'll offer suggestions on what it's worth by looking at other auctions for the same thing, and the seller can do that on their own as well. But if you choose to ignore that and list it for a crazy amount of money, you're just making your pool of potential buyers that much smaller.

Now, if he had something misleading on there about his particular padKontrol being worth $8000 and was bullshitting about it - that's when eBay should get involved.

If someone is stupid enough to pay $8k for it, let them. If it doesn't sell (I cannot imagine a scenario where it would sell), it will cost the guy money to keep posting it.
