Everyone will poke these stupid jokes as above... but honestly I made the upgrade from Live 7 to Live 8 suite and I already used tension and operator in my most recent project.

I dont know why I didnt get suite before operator is a beast! and tension is actually pretty damn nice for bass guitar.

Overal the warping is 10 times better sounds better too and the warping will especially help for slice to midi because transients are a much more logical cut point than warp markers were...

live 8 warping a whole song for djing is like easy as pie... almost all dance music warps almost perfectly the first time with little to no changes.

Mixed results, but overall it's worth putting up with the occasional freeze to use the new features like vocoder, freq shift, limiter and group tracks... for me at least. I'm sure I'd have another opinion if it froze while playing live...

My hemorrhoids sting a bit more. But that might be from the price and not the app itself.
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Flakeyest version of live yet - not much to choose between 801 and 802 for stability. Its still useable, but if it didnt have its auto-recover I would probably be quite pissed with it by now.

It generally seems ok if just using Live's own plugins only, but with Virus TI, Sylenth1, Alchemy and Aether2C then the chances of actually loading and uses all of those seem close to zero. Aether2C usually just freezes Live 8 completely on loading the plugin, but seems to load up with Live 7 OK. Adding new instances of Sylenth1 often seems to kill L8 as well, again L7 seems OK.

On balance, L7 vs L8 with its issues, L8 is preferable, the combination of new warping and the groove templates makes for a huge improvement for me. Other new features are not really must-haves when used as intended. What is odd, the issues I am having now didnt seem to be present in the beta versions... :?

Few random crashes for me this week with 8.02. Been trying to prep my seminar for the Seattle Live User's Group this week and running into more than a few application quits out of nowhere. Using nothing but Live's own effects and instruments too. :(

A few random crashes here too. Unthinkable to use it live for the moment. But for arranging, composing, recording and mixing, it is usable... with a "time for a cup of cofféé" function, when it crashes.

Working on Win XP SP3 and had like 2 crashes with Live 8.0.1.
Guess i am one of the lucky guys where everything runs just fine :-)

BTW: NO crashes at all with Live 8.0.2 so far
