hehe, imagine it's PACE giving you shit. You'd be locked out of any and all sets using PACE 'protected' utilities until you sorted it. Don't bother PACE support though, they're too busy jizzing on multiple copies of the financial times.

this would be my luck...
so piracy will affect those who pay more than those who use it illegally, more so , because those who use it illegally probably don't take their music as seriously. They probably wouldn't use Live in a live situation knowing they have an illegal copy, and could crap out in them.

This may start a shitstorm of people just paying then using cracked versions.
Or just using cracked versions.

Do you use ANY pirated software that maybe Abes might have identified?
If not this REALLY SUPER SUCKS NASTY OLD DONKEY DICKS.
I have dropped close to a grand for this platform, upgraded to the most powerful computer I couldn't afford, and to think that I cannot depend on it is infuriating.

restarting gave me the same results, i tried 8.0.1 and 8.0.2. re-installing however worked (so far).

...aaand we're back...
since everything seemed to work fine again, i updated one of my effects (warmverb) to 1.1, and voilà, this copy protection thing comes up again. and this time reinstalling live doesn't work either.
nice.

edit: reinstalling _twice_ worked. ok, i see where this is going...

why the hell is Ableton enforcing copyrights? is it their place to do this? oh, on top of that they're doing it very poorly.

really really disappointed...

I'd love to see a thread with a title that more directly rants about this bullshit.

once again the pirates get treated as they should but it's leading to people that follow the rules getting screwed. great.
