I have a midi keyboard and APC40 off to the side on another table I can grab if needed for writing music. The power supplies and USB cables are preconnected and hanging on small hooks on the back of the table. So it literally only takes me a couple seconds to grab one and plug it in. Ditto for my Machinedrum, which is also off to the side.

For working on other people's music though, I like a nice and clean workspace. The only thing I need then is the volume knob on the Fireface400, which is why I built that nice little stand for it.

This simple set up doesn't say alot but it is used for producing deep house to a pro standard (as u can see/hear in my sig)

iMac i7 8gb ram
Speakers : Genelec 8030 on top of premacoustic auto recoil pads (cost alot of money for what they are but they do a great job of decoupling the speakers to get a better bass definition which is vital for my work)
Mixing desk: Euphonix mc mix
DAC: apogee duet
Midi convertor : axon 50 - used in conjunction with a midi / acoustic guitar (Godin)
Headphones: akg 702 - they need to be burned in to be reliable for mixing (at night)
DAW: Cubase 6 for vocal work and Ableton Live (with 3rd party plugins)

MacBook 2ghz core2duo 4gb ram running Traktor scratch coupled to two djm 1000s mk2s and Technics 1200 TT.

And yes that is a big fat laser (with the hazer switched off) doing that effect

This is probably an odd question but what are those wooden stands you've got your monitors on? I'm looking to add another tier to my desk and something like that would be perfect.

I had the desk custom made and those stands are just pieces of ordinary plank wood. I just chose their dimensions and a dude made the desk according to specs.
