Yeah, you have both a Juno and a Moog and only those little multimedia speakers to hear them with?

What a waste!

Recently left the uk to come live in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. packed up all my gear and shipped it in a container - big sigh of relief when I managed to get it through customs two months later.

The house we rented had "servents quarters" in back, two small rooms and a toilet. The toilet was in the middle - shfted it to the left hand side of building, and then put a window between the other two rooms. Vocal booth really needs some treatment - reflexion filter helps a lot but can still hear the walls pretty bad when you solo a track.

The carpenter was a nightmare - thought he'd done a runner, never answered his phone for about 3 weeks. Had all but given up when he turned up with the desk shelves, and machine ipad stand. All was forgiven, did a great job for a very generous price. Chuffed to bits with the setup no -never had everything in reach and connected up at the same time like this :)

Did you ask for the colour of the wood to match your speakers, or was that just luck?

:D

Tanzania...wow!
Turn the reflexion filter around so the vocalist is facing out in to the room and hang some bedding etc on the wall behind you. As it is in that picture, you're stopping the voice hitting the wall in front of you but everything from the room is coming in the back.

Tanzania? Won't people come and steal all your gear in the middle of the night, in an African country?

“It just proves we need to learn not to profile people. Because, actually, most of the world hates us.”

Seems fitting after that comment. Travel sometime. I'd rather have my gear setup their then many MANY places in the states.
