Muzik 4 Machines, you've got a good percentage of the same kit I have!

Korg Kaoss Pad, Kaossilator, Yamaha TX81Z, Roland MKS-50 (even with the TX above the MKS in the rack!), Roland PG-300 programmer, a couple of Electribes...

That looks cool oblique, do you have any video/sonic examples of it in action?

Cool! Mine's nothing like as exotic as that. I have two tatooists' arm/leg rests...

Hmmm.... I'm just trying to imagine what use you have for them.

Do you kneel on the floor in front of the Mac (facing East?), put your arms on the rests and type? :?

Unfortunately, no. However, if you go here you can hear some samples of Folktek instruments:
http://folktek.com/vst

These are closest to the Dronescape Sequencer:
- Etheric Mucous & Low Voltage Insect
- Mod-wheel based Noise example

Here is another with some similarities :

- Assorted Elements (Demonstrating Longer Segments)

We have not one cat, but... five. It's a million degrees today, so they're all in hiding, but I'll add some pictures of them at some point. Here's the bulk of my studio setup

Are you mixing on headphones sometimes (at least until you get back to the studio)?

I always wondered if the pros do this from time to time or if it's an absolute heresy. :)

The ideal thing is to check how it sounds on as many playback mediums as possible.

Check it on headphones, check it on big speakers, check it on small speakers, in the car, on a portable stereo (boom box/ghetto blaster), playing loud, playing quiet, inside, outside, standing on your head (only joking about that last one).

Headphones are good for checking panning & stereo width in comparison to speakers (set various widths apart too, if you want to be sure).

Yummm...Ninkasi! Love a simple set up! Careful not to spill...that would be tragic

I mix in headphones all the time. I feel like its most important to really really get to know the equipment you are mixing on, and learn how it translates else where. But hey...don't listen to me, my mixes sound like IPA ;)
