Love it. Feels intriguing and rich. Want to go in there to see what's happening, and to do stuff.
The LYD-48s are new to me. Regardless, I am having a VERY enjoyable time working with them. I'm able to make split second mix decisions confidently. They seem to sound better as they get used more...Amberience wrote:Holy shit sticks that is NIIICE!
The basement flooded, we had to do some remodeling. so we replaced the carpet with floated hardwood floors. To our surprise, it turned out 'naturally neutral'. The combination of the hanging ceiling tiles, porous walls / corkboard and asymetrical boundaries creates a very pleasant room to mix in. For our discerning clients, we will move the speakers even further away from the wall, bringing the setup closer to a 32% / 68% implementation.
One other note, an extra foot of height was added to the original house plans, which seems to keep it feeling like an actual basement.
