no your not, but how many MC's, DJ's, producers have you dealt with that just said "I want to sample this song" and thats there only idea?
I've only followed through on actually working with a few MC's who were cool as hell, but they did not actually desire originality, that was the biggest disappointment, stepping out of my own style to help somebody out just to have them want it cheap so to speak.
I once ran down about 40 different bass kiks to show someone what options they had, it was like picking a bass kik to start with was to much for the guy to handle, he just started talking about sampling this and that and the other thing.
this was a few years ago before my dislike turned to hate.
