I would never seriously make music on a VM.
Can I ask what VM you are using?

I really want to do the same thing for development but haven't had the time to look into a Hypervisor that runs a Mac OS or where to get an image from.

In regards to the images tho, could be the way the graphics engine is created in the VM. I know nothing about Mac but i'd guess possibly the graphics drivers or something aren't compatible. Since it's emulating a Mac environment it really could be a number of things.

I use virtualbox for webdev, usually just with a Homestead Vagrant box from Laravel.

But if you need a MacOS VM thats also possible. https://saintlad.com/install-macos-sier ... indows-10/

Nice, thanks for the link. Seems straight forward so I might have a play on my dev machine tonight.

If you run into mysterious problems starting the virtualbox - check that virtualisation is enabled in your bios. Thats a common issue. If the option is off it fails mysteriously.

Heres how Laravel put it
If you are using Windows, you may need to enable hardware virtualization (VT-x). It can usually be enabled via your BIOS. If you are using Hyper-V on a UEFI system you may additionally need to disable Hyper-V in order to access VT-x.
From the Laravel docs

I also replicate this behaviour with Live 10, but live 9 used to work in vmware. I have Vt-x enabled.

@cpnet, are you able to run live 10 in a vm?
Load VST Presets from Push's Browser!
