Metaphysical Function question...
Hello Forum,
Just checking to see if anyone how to record sound from this amazing sounding synth into Live for further manipulation. This program was free and if I can use it to help assist in a track, that would be outstanding!
Thanks!

You can use sound recorder in Windows, or any other recording tool at your disposal, and trap bits. Just save 'em and then drop them into Live!

You better have good aim when you drop all those bits into LIVE. If you miss and they fall all over the floor.... whoa... what a mess.

Lots of options. Use Soundflower to route MF output into Sound Studio, using SS to record.
You can also use Audio Hijack and Audio Hijack Pro to record directly:

MF is great for weird sounds, especially with the randomize function.

Re: hola
I, uh, don't suppose you have that available for public download anywhere, eh? 'Cause that would be pretty cool.Spacerboy wrote:i made a change to metaphysical function and transformed it into a normal ensemble file...was a lot of work!

After you install Soundflower, you now have a virtual (fake) sound card to which you can direct audio input from MF. Now you need to record the output from Soundflower.thelike5 wrote:OK, I have Soundflower installed. i guess I have no idea how to use it because I can't seem to record anything. Anyone have a minute to explain how to use Soundflower? I really just want to record 15 seconds or so of each clip and then import into Live for manipulation.
After setting the sound output from MF to Soundflower's "2ch input", use a sound recorder like Sound Studio to record the output from Soundflower's "2ch output" to a new file.

Sound Studio will do a software "passthrough" so that you can hear what is coming out of the Soundflower output.
