Possible noob question about the transport/play head.

Is there a way of having the play head remain stationary, but have the session scroll past in arrangement view?

Could it be the "Follow =>" Button?

don´t know the exact english menue-writing, as i´m on a german version, but:


in preferences the look/feel tab, change "song follow..." to continuously
and in arrange press command F (under options-menue, "follow song")

is it this ?

that's the one., but be aware that this function draws a tiny bit more CPU. at least i can see a flickering 1% jump while switching it on/off.
