live 5 to live 8....uh huh.

Post by astromass » Fri Jun 05, 2009 1:55 am

ok, so i've been using live 5.2 for a LONG time and have loved every second of it....
well. i just bought live 8 suite boxed. a couple of questions:

1. i guess i know this answer (almost $500 later...). is live 8 suite THAT much better/different?

2. i downloaded live 8 suite and will wait to install the drum program and the sound collection. how do i install/download drum machines instrument? also, why are there no "libraries" for the effects and the instruments?

I'M EXCITED!!!!

Thanks guys!!!

Live 5 holdout here too. One word: Racks!
But so much more. Too much to list.

But there were some bugs. The installer for one. I had to re-install/repair the Libaray a couple of times before all the presets and samples showed up. Be sure to download the Legacy Live Pack.

Yeah, it really is that good.

I'm still feeling a bit overwhelmed even going from the regular Live 7 to the full suite Live 8, so I can just imagine what it's like to upgrade from 5 :D ...

Have fun!
