Anyone hear anything new about a release date? Everything on the web just says later in 09. I read somewhere it would be in the 2nd quarter of 09.

me guess it would be around september... the later would be december

Keep on waiting.

Seeing as it hasn't gone in to public beta yet (which I get the impression it will), I doubt anything before late Q4.

i am still curious about price. has been an expensive year so far apc 40 and l8 suite....

i don't actually care WHEN it comes out,as long as it's stable as a rock.
let them fix all the bugs in Live 8 first before they release MFL.

+1 stability and everything working as it should plus a bit more CPU friendliness before another halfbaked addition.

Yeah, I agree on all those points. I didn't even think about the beta test. That would be our first sign for sure.

I can't wait anymore, have a couple of patches I'm dying to try out.

They could be a bit polite towards us yearlong users and give us a hint, when we can expect this darling.

man, ive been checking for the beta like, weekly and such.

an Abe (Dave Hill) told us that people at Ableton don't even know. they've got the Live 8 release, Live 7 updates, the APC, the Serato thing and max4Live in the works at the same time. they're not a big company, neither is Cycling 74.

right, maybe in the Disneyland release. there's never been such a thing as bug free software.

Oh man, I've been using Max 4 Live for months. In fact I used it so much that I got sick of it and deleted it. Then I reinstalled it and used it some more. I managed to complete rewrite Live to look and feel like Fruity Loops but with, like MORE of that granular effects stuff people love but isn't really useful at all. Then I deleted that and made a version of Live 8 that took up 0.001% CPU, and had Session view automation recording stuff that people want, but I deleted that too. Oh, also my Fruity Loops mod actually had an effect that would take my shittiest tracks and finish them for me. Finish them phat like Dre or Snoop Dog or something. THEN I mapped everything to my brand new APC40 WHICH HASN'T EVEN ARRIVED IN THE COUNTRY YET SO STOP GOING ON ABOUT EVEN MORE AWESOME ABLETON STUFF I HAVEN'T GOT.





(must stop torturing myself with APC40 threads and videos, it's not healthy....)
